POLICE are appealing for information about prescription drugs believed to have been stolen in Abergavenny during the past couple of days.

It is believed the pain relief drugs, called Actiq lozenges, two 400mg tablets in rocket shaped containers, were in a handbag which was stolen.

They are described as looking like lollipops and pale in colour. When sucked they go opaque orange.

They can cause nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhoea.

If found they should be taken to a local police station or pharmacy.
