AFTER the hearing, Lliswerry councillor Alan Morris said: "This is good news for the people in the local area because it shows that something can be done about anti-social behaviour.

"These boys were an absolute nightmare and people deserve the right to live their lives in peace and quiet. To allow these kids to get away with this is not fair on the many decent people living in the area."

A council spokesman said: "We welcome the court's decision to impose anti-social behaviour orders on these two brothers.

"This sends out a strong message that Newport city council will not tolerate this type of behaviour and will use all its powers to protect the safety and well being of its citizens."
