A TEENAGE girl has become the second victim of a crash in which a car hit a post.

She was named by police as 19-year-old Natasha Davies, of Blackwood. The teenager was being treated at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff but died in the early hours of yesterday.

The first victim of the crash was 20-year-old Nicky Porter, from Hengoed, who died at the scene.

The former Lewis Boys' School pupil left a fiance Kaylee, who is due to give birth to their child in May.

The accident happened on Penmaen Road in Oakdale, when a Vauxhall Corsa left the road and collided with a post on April 3.

Floral tributes have been left at the scene.

Oakdale councillor John Evans, who was at the scene just minutes after the accident happened, said yesterday: "My heart goes out to the family of the girl who has died.

"I am very sorry to hear this. It is very, very sad."

Three other people aged between 19 and 22 were taken to hospital following the accident.

One man remains in the University of Wales Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Another man and woman are still receiving treatment at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport and both are described as being in a stable condition.
