THIS group of Newport moggies are in desperate need of a home in time for Christmas.

For four months the pets have been looked after by staff at the Summerhill Vets Centre.

But now the centre is full and unless loving owners can be found they may have to be put down.

Kennel manager Donna Sully explained: "We are really only supposed to keep the animals for seven days and after that we're meant to put them down. But we're big softies and we really want to see them safely re-homed."

Nine-month-old brothers Ronnie and Reggie were found dumped in a shed in Blackwood.

The black and white tabbies can't bear to be separated and are looking for someone to look after them both.

Ms Sully said: "We really want to find them a home together.

"They are always cuddling up together and have a lovely nature. They just need a bit of attention and TLC."

And Ginge, an adult male, was found crushed after being run over by a car in the Liswerry area.

Ms Sully said: "When we got Ginge he was in a bad way - his rear end was completely crushed. But he's been given a lot of TLC and is doing great.

"He's a very timid, gentle cat and would make the perfect pet."

Anyone willing to give the cats a home should call the Summerhill centre on 01633 255394.
