DRIVERS faced tailbacks of more than five miles this morning after part of the M4 in Gwent was closed following a five-vehicle crash.
Only minor injuries were reported after the collision at 5.45am on the eastbound carriageway just before Magor. All three lanes were closed but two were re-opened about an hour later.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said they assisted the police following the incident, which involved one light commercial vehicle and four cars, by making the vehicles safe and helping to clear the obstruction.
