A POSTMAN police want to question in connection with the death of a Risca mother-of-one is still being treated in hospital.

Meanwhile, officers have been carrying out house-to- house inquiries in Almond Avenue, Risca, where Natalie Cain's body was discovered.

Mrs Cain, 24, of Corpor-ation Road, Newport, was found dead from stab wounds at the home of postman Mark Redwood, her former partner.

Mr Redwood, who delivers mail in Newport, admitted himself to hospital in the Reading area last Saturday with minor injuries.

Information he gave ambulance workers led to Thames Valley Police contacting the Gwent force with details of an address in Almond Avenue.

Detectives are now in their sixth day of waiting for the all-clear from doctors to return 30-year-old Mr Redwood to Gwent for questioning.

Locals say administration worker Mrs Cain and Mr Redwood were drinking together last Thursday night l - the last time she was seen alive. A staff member at the Risca House pub in Commercial Street has said the two appeared happy during their two-hour stay that evening.
