A brand new recruitment and training event has been met enthusiastically by employers and training providers who have raced to book their stand at Job Scene The Roadshow presented by the South Wales Argus taking place at the Newport Centre, Newport on 18 March 2004.

The Bridge Training Centre, Cogent Defence and Security Networks, Coleg Gwent, Jobcentre Plus, NHS Wales, Royal Navy & Royal Marines and the Teacher Training Agency are just some of the employers and training providers who have confirmed their attendance.

Job Scene is brand new to Newport but is part of a national series that visits major towns and cities throughout the UK. It has built up a reputation of meeting employers and training providers recruitment needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

It allows exhibitors the unique opportunity to meet a diverse range of people, promote their organisation and talk one to one to visitors.

Many exhibitors attend Job Scene events across the UK. One such exhibitor is the School of Nursing & Midwifery University of Southampton.

They will be at the Roadshow to promote their range of courses to visitors interested in training in these rewarding professions.

When asked what it was about Job Scene that made them exhibit year after year, Val Godfroy, schools liaison officer said:

"We meet a variety of people at the Job Scene events - from school leavers to mature people and the events are always well organised. Job Scene gives us the chance to create a good impression. Visitors may talk to other universities who run the same courses but because I've created a friendly impression they want to come and study with us."

Job Scene will be coming to the Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff, next week (3 & 4 October 2003) for those interested in finding employment and training courses as well as organisations interested in seeing what a Job Scene event is like.
