A NEWPORT three-year-old spent St David's Day helping other children for our Sparkle Appeal.
Caitlin Brock-way, from New-port, was out in Newport city centre on Monday dressed in Welsh costume with her mum Hayley Dearden collecting for Sparkle.
The three-year-old collected £116 over six hours in John Frost Square, Commercial Street and the Kingsway Shopping Centre.
Hayley said: "I have dressed Caitlin up in Welsh costume for the past two St David's Days but I decided to raise money for charity this year.
"People have stopped me before and said I should have collected and I saw the Sparkle Appeal in the Argus and thought it was such a good cause to support because it helps children - as a parent I know how important something like this will be for children in the area."
Hayley, 25, said she was keeping in touch with the Sparkle Office for any other chances to help out.
