JASON Forster is set to miss out on a place in the Welsh team for Saturday's second Test against Argentina in Buenos Aires.

The Newport Gwent Dragons openside flanker looks like being left out despite his try-scoring debut for Wales in the first Test in Tucuman which Wales narrowly lost.

It's a harsh call for Forster after such a promising debut when he had waited so long to play for his country. But it appears Wales want a bulkier back row to help combat the physical Argentinians.

As a result Dafydd Jones looks like being recalled to play at blind side flanker with skipper Colin Charvis moving to openside and the Dragons' Michael Owen remaining at number eight.

If Forster fails to gain a place on the bench either he could be one of an advance party being sent to South Africa early to prepare for next week's Test against the Springboks and acclimatise to the altitude with the match being played in Pretoria.

A change in the back division for the second Test against Argentina is also likely to involve positional switches. Tom Shanklin is set to start in his favourite position in the centre after impressing as a replacement in recent games. That would mean the experiment of playing Gavin Henson at inside centre being temporarily abandoned.

He is likely to be moved to full back, where he has played before, in preference to Llanelli Scarlets' Barry Davies at the expense of Rhys Williams, who is suffering from a stomach upset and was out of form against the Pumas anyway.

Hooker Mefin Davies has also been hit by the stomach bug, but is expected to be fit to play. Ceri Sweeney, a new signing for the Dragons, could hold on to the outside half position despite an indifferent performance last week and the form of Nicky Robinson when he replaced him.

Wales (possible): G Henson, H Luscombe, S Parker, T Shanklin, S Williams, C Sweeney, D Peel, D Jones, M Davies, A Jones, B Cockbain, G Llewellyn, D Jones, M Owen, C Charvis (captain).
