AMERICAN neo-prog rockers The Flaming Lips call on Bristol on their UK tour next year. The ensemble of dazed musicians fronted by a lunatic singer-songwriter are promoting their latest album, Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, which was released earlier this year.
And their single, Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Part 1, is out on Monday, January 20 on Warner Brothers.
The band are currently on a US tour supporting Beck and appearing as his backing group.
If you like complicated rock with an endless procession of bizarre instruments and songs that just go back on themselves, then The Flaming Lips should be your cup of tea. l Tickets for their UK shows are £15. The Flaming Lips play Bristol Academy on Saturday, January 18.
