THE County Motors Cup third round replays produced the upset of the season. Second Division Tranch AFC defeated First Division leaders Croesyceiliog 3-0, Mark Walker (2) and Mark Carpanini scoring.

In the other replay Pill FC defeated Hilltop Sports 4-0 with a hat-trick from Paul Ingles . In the First Division, Cwmbran Celtic kept up the pressure on Croesyceiliog with a five goal victory over Abergavenny Thursdays, Darren Pugh, Daniel Lewis, Shane Williamson, Nicki Williams and Gary Sturch the marksmen.

Nathan Edwards scored both goals to give Aberbargoed Buds victory over Fairfield United.

Blaina West Side defeated visitors Mardy AFC 2-1, Andrew Worton and Kristian Hapgood scoring.

Lucas Cwmbran and Cromwell Youth shared eight goals, Alan Seddon (2), Mark Willmott and Deri Crimmins scoring for Lucas and Simon Channon and Richard Pitman for Cromwell.

Trinant and Clydach Wasps shared six goals, Trinant scoring through Stuart Green, Richard Lyons and Jamie Lyons and Clydach through Nick Francis, Daniel Phillips and Mark Congrieve. Abercarn United and Tillery Athletic also drew.

In Division Two, Goytre kept the pressure on leaders Newport Corinthians with a 2-0 victory over Lliswerry , Justin Lewis and Darren Haines scoring.

Trethomas Bluebirds moved off the bottom with an excellent 4-2 away win over Pentwynmawr Athletic, Aaron Colwill (2), Paul Jones and Jerry Long their goal scorers. Llanhilleth Athletic won 3-2 at New Inn, Chris Townsend (2) and John Dalton scoring. Chris Rogers and Ryan Young scored to give Abertillery Bluebirds a 2-1 home victory over Cefn Fforest.

Civil Service and Monmouth Town drew 3-3, Carl Vowles (2) and Mike Thomas the Civil marksmen, with Simon Wookey, David MacDonald and Shane Porrington scoring for the Town.

Third Division leaders Mathern Athletic defeated local rivals Caldicot Castle 2-1, Neil Mackie scoring both their goals.

Second placed Greenmeadow also won 2-1 when visiting Hafodyrynys Bluebirds, Nathan Manley scoring both goals.

Cwmffrwdoer Sports defeated visitors Brynmawr AFC 3-1, Lea Grimes, Matthew Jackson and Jason McCann the marksmen.

Trevethin AFC entertained neighbours Race, winning 4-2 through goals by Jason Howells (2), Chris Dayton and Andrew Smith. Blaenavon Blues won away to bottom club Fleur-de-Lys.
