THE search is on to find a high-flying vicar unafraid of heights to bless a newly-wed Gwent couple sitting on the wings of love.

Justin Bunn and Caroline Hackwood, (pictured) of Allt-yr-yn, Newport, will have their feet firmly on the ground during the marriage ceremony but will actually have their heads firmly in the clouds shortly afterwards as their marriage is blessed on the wings of a biplane.

This extraordinary opportunity came after the couple won a national competition and the marriage will get off to a flying start at altitudes of up to 1,000ft on August 14 at RFC Rendcomb Airfield, Cirencester - provided a vicar willing to conduct the airborne blessing ceremony can be found.

The couple who have been together for nearly seven years, were thrilled after winning a competition to find daredevils looking for an adventurous wedding.

"We knew we would marry, but wanted to celebrate our love for one another with an utterly memorable occasion," Caroline said.

"We're both over the moon to have landed a wedding blessing on the wings of a 1940s biplane."

The pair will sit in specially designed wing seats and are excited about their wedding.
