KEEP Helen in the house - that's the message from Gwent's Big Brother fans. The Big Brother website's on-line television station, Big Brother Confidential - which travels the length and breadth of Britain talking to friends and family of Big Brother contestants - took the Big Brother diary chair to Helen's workplace at Classy Cutz hairdressing salon, Ridgeway, Newport, yesterday.

The Argus is calling on all Helen Adams fans to make their vote count, and keep her in the house.

Staff and customers, who voiced opinions on everything from the romance between Helen and Paul to Friday's eviction, told Big Brother they hoped she would stay. Customer Kerry Williams, 39, of Cwmavon near Blaenavon, said: "Helen's a brilliant hairdresser but I think the on-screen romance is not true love and I don't think Paul is as serious about Helen and she is."

Helen, 23, who has worked at the salon since a 15-year-old on work experience was described as chatty, loud and bubbly by customers.

Owner of Classy Cutz, Helen's boss Sharon Richards, described her as "an excellent hairdresser" and promised: "There will always be a job here for Helen - Helen is a friend as well as an employee and I want her to win.

"She seems to be a little more brash than she is in real life and I think she's been taken in by Paul a little." She added: "The public have really warmed to her, I think she will survive on Friday and it will be between her and Brian as to who wins overall."

In the Big Brother house yesterday, fears that Paul has been leading Helen on were realised as she confided in Elizabeth that she wanted Paul to be her boyfriend after the show, Elizabeth told Brian and Dean:

"I talked to Helen and she really likes him and would like something to be going on." But love rat Paul had told Elizabeth: "I'm going back to my life and she's going back to hers."
