MOVE over Charlotte, there's a new Welsh diva in town.

Gwent singer Clare Thomasa is set to storm the charts - and she reckons she'll take over the crown of Welsh pop princess from Charlotte Church.

And to rub salt in the wounds she hired Charlotte's ex, Kyle Johnson, for a steamy new video to go with the song.

The 25-year-old Blackwood beauty launches her first single Crazy Thinking of You, on Monday

The former model has been singing professionally since she was a child and has already worked in the USA, performing with leading acts including the Eagles and Born to be Wild supergroup Steppenwolf.

But she plans to really make her mark in the UK after setting up her own record label and writing and producing her own music.

Hot on the heels of a major promotional tour, Crazy is her first single and Clare is determined to be a huge success.

She told Venue: "I had a fantastic time in America and gained a huge amount of experience in the music business.

"I was determined, however, to come home and achieve success. I love working in the UK and I can't wait to reach the top.

"Charlotte Church is extremely talented but I am bringing a style of pop/rock which I believe will bring something new and exciting to the music scene."

The steamy music video for the new single features Kyle Johnson, Charlotte Church's kiss-and-tell lover.

He said: "Clare is an extremely talented singer with an extraordinary voice and fantastic personality. I'm thrilled to be working with her."

Clare studied at Cross Keys College for four years and worked for a year in a London-based record label, Ravensbourne Records, in addition to her work in the USA.

The song will be released on her own label CT Records.
