NEWPORT will launch the charge of the heavy brigade at French kings Toulouse in the Heineken Cup at Rodney Parade on Saturday night.

Newport recall Rod Snow and Adrian Garvey, a pair of 18-stoners, at prop.

Coach Ian McIntosh started at Newcastle with Ceri Jones and Chris Anthony, bringing Snow and Garvey on for the second half.

But against Toulouse he reverts to the more experienced, heavier pair, mainly to combat the visiting front row which includes wily French prop Franck Tournaire.

"Toulouse have got a very big pack, so we've got a bit more weight coming in to start. We'll take it from there," explained McIntosh.

Those are the only changes from the starting line-up at Newcastle, as McIntosh goes for the same 22.

Jones continues to act as emergency hooker - should anything happen to James Richards because Paul Young has still not recovered from his calf injury.

The coach insists Newport will keep their feet firmly on the ground, despite their fine victory over Newcastle.

"All we've done is win the first game of six, and you're only as good as your last game," he said.

"It's far too early to get carried away and we've got to be realistic, sometimes games go for you and sometimes they don't.

"We must not think after winning one game we're going to win them all and that we're a great side, though it was fantastic to win away which is money in the bank.

"We're confident, but that confidence will not get us through. We must do it correctly, we've got to."

* Newport have received a huge boost with the all-clear given to Wales lock Ian Gough, and they have also dual registered Jason Strange with Pontypool as he needs rugby.

Gough returned to his specialist on Monday and was told he could resume playing. He steps straight i to Newport under-21s as a permitted over-age player, at Swansea on Saturday.

"He's taking contact in training, and we want to get into rotation at lock as well," said McIntosh.
