THERE are fears that a trackside blaze has affected cabling on a Newport train line.
The blaze broke out on Libanus Road, Somerton in Newport where grass and rubbish caught fire at around 1.30pm.
One engine from Maindee tackled the blaze and by 2.15pm the fire was out.
Disruption continues as damage to cabling is assessed.
