THE teenage mum-to-be murdered in Newport was just weeks away from giving birth, friends told the Argus.
Nikitta Jade Grender, 19, who was found dead in a first floor flat in Broadmead Park, Liswerry at around 7.50am yesterday after fire crews broke the door down to tackle the blaze was due to give birth to a girl in around two weeks.
Police announced this morning that following the post mortem examination and other inquiries, her death was being treated as suspicious and launched a murder inquiry.
