SHOCKED workers at LG Electronics Wales Ltd on Newport's Imperial Park were told today the firm plans to shut the plant.
Some 315 workers are set to lose their jobs just three days before Christmas.
A letter to workers from managing director Boris Park blamed a fall in the price of its computer monitors and increased competition.
