CHARITY Torfaen Mind celebrates its 25th anniversary today.
The organisation helps hundreds of people achieve better mental health and wellbeing and was set up in 1986 as Pontypool Mind.
In 2000, it changed its name to Torfaen Mind as it expanded across the local authority area and Blaenau Gwent and is now based at the Wellbeing Centre, George Street, Pontypool. It provides crisis intervention, supported housing, counselling, an engagement project and training.
It will celebrate 25 years with an event at the Active Learning Centre, Pontypool, today from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
Representatives of Torfaen Mind will be available to talk about the organisation and assistance it can offer people.
