Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan is asking the prime minister to fly the Welsh Dragon over Downing Street on Saturday, following a request from Cardiff West MP Kevin Brennan.

No 10 has been known to fly the St George cross for sporting events in the past.

Close to 40,000 rugby supporters are booked in for the semi-final screening at the Millennium Stadium.

Tickets are still available (six per person) at Gate 3 Millennium Stadium until 7pm today.

WELSH singing sensations Sophie Evans and Only Men Aloud will join an expected crowd of over 45,000 rugby supporters this Saturday at the Millennium Stadium.

Rodney Parade to open doors for semi - The bar will be open from 8:30am for the semi-final (alcohol will be served from 11am) with bacon rolls also available.

Clubs opening for the 9am kick-off include Oakdale RFC, Risca RFC, Newbridge RFC, Pill Harriers RFC, Abergavenny RFC, Abercarn RFC, Crumlin RFC and Cwmbran RFC, with many serving up breakfasts for nervous fans.
