FIRE: A man’s body was found in this house yesterday
A MAN died in a house fire in Newport yesterday.
Police and the fire service were called to a house in Tewskesbury Walk, Shaftesbury, following reports of a fire.
Gwent Police were called at 11.40am. When they arrived at the house, they found the body of a man. The fire was out before officers or the fire service arrived.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious. A post mortem examination and formal identification of the man is expected to take place today.
