CHEPSTOW licensee Alison Beasley was elected chairwoman of the Local Licensed Victuallers Association.
The licensee of The White Lion/Smirnoff Bar and Pye Corner Ms Beasley says she is pleased to take on the role, adding that she wants to make the association more effective.
She said: “My main aim will be to try to get all the licensees to focus on building business and joining together as a body for the better of the town,”
Ms Beasley has gained a wealth of experience over the years in managing public houses as she also formerly ran the The King’s Head on Welsh Street and The Five Alls on Bridge Street.
Licensee of the Beaufort Hotel Mike Collins was elected vice-chairman of the LVA.
