So, I'll start by saying 'I'm sorry.' The first week of uni is often a very hectic one where freshers wander corridors lost, timetables get completely mixed up, people get constantly infuriated by the Park & Ride system, and every student in the vicinity is still trying to get used to the horrible 9am starts, to the point of rushing round with all the energy of eager busy bees but with the eyes of tired-out zombies.

Welcome to real-life, people! Ha.

But as you can imagine, I'm knackered.

This week has been spent getting everything sorted, finding lecture rooms I never knew existed on the campus I've attended for, what, two years?, buying my textbooks and wondering what on earth I'm going to write about next which DOESN'T involve career-motivated women and shoes, or death. Gah, this is harder than I thought.Though in all honesty,my creative writing class is great, and full of fellow writers who also feel the pain when inspiration hits you at the oddest times.

With me, it's usually at silly hours of the morning, when that invisible lightbulb flashes above my half-sleeping head, and off I run across the landing in search of a pen and paper. 'Ouch!' I usually yell, followed by anothernon-publishable word, after stubbing my toe on a table or smacking my elbow against the banister, which, I might add, I've done twice this week.

See? Inspiration is painful. You have to pay a price for feeling so smug with ideas.

In any case, my busy week so far is the main reason for me not blogging much, but it's going to get better. I promise. Once I force myself to go to bed very early on a daily basis, I won't be so tired and falling onto the keyboard, head heavy.

So, if you were expecting something funny: sorry!

If you were expecting something vaguely entertaining: whoops!

I guess I've just wasted approximately three minutes of your time. (But for some reason, I get amused by being so nasty.) I would, however, have posted an obscene joke to provide you at least one giggle, but hey! I'm not allowed.

Ner-ner.

Now to do some actual work. If I remember what that is...
