Winter's coming; cold, dark and wet.

I don't mind too much, it's about this time of year I start running out of excuses for not doing all the things I can't be bothered to do, like washing the car and cutting the grass.

One thing I'm not looking forward to, one of our dogs loves to lie in front of the fire.

I think the gentle heat working on his flanks has an adverse effect on his digestive system.

Do the letters SBD mean anything to you? Silent but deadly?

It wouldn't be so bad if he sighed or otherwise gave us some kind of advance warning, but there's nothing.

He doesn't even look guilty. Pulling a t-shirt up over your nose doesn't help at all. It's worse when we have visitors, they all look at me.

Talking of foul odours, there's an advert on TV for air fresheners, I can't remember all the spiel, something about after a while you get used to a fragrance and don't notice it any more.

It seems to me if you apply their logic to the odour you're supposedly taking pains to mask they're actually saying you'll get used to it sooner or later and won't even notice it any more.

Which begs the obvious question; why buy the air freshener? Stupid advert.
