A GIRL was attacked and robbed in the street and left with cuts and bruises, police said yesterday.
The 16-year-old was walking near the junction of Henllys Way and Belle Vue Road in Cwmbran on Sunday, when she was approached by a man, hit on the head and had her mobile phone stolen.
Following the incident between 6.15pm and 6.30pm, the man ran off towards the Shell petrol station on Henllys Way.
He is described as white, of stocky build, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, and was wearing a black hooded top with white writing on the left upper arm, with the hood pulled up over his head.
The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises.
