A few minutes ago, Newport man Carl Whant, 27, was found guilty of murder, rape, arson and the destruction of an unborn child.
Whant had denied raping and killing Nikitta Grender, 19, destroying her unborn child Kelsey-May, and torching Miss Grender's flat in Broadmead Park.
