Villagers were left without a shop for two years but now they have a new trading post and post office.
The manager of the local shop and post office in Bryn near Abergavenny had retired and the business closed.
So campaigners got together and decided to set up their own. They transformed a canteen in a closed-down school into a shop thanks to local fundraising and grants from the National Assembly.
And the Bryn Trading Post, a shop and post office, opened officially on Wednesday.
