NEWPORT residents are being banned from leaving certain kinds of plastic in their weekly kerbside recycling collection.
Wastesavers, the city council's recycling partner, says it will become stricter on the types of plastic it collects.
A spokesman said some residents were making it difficult for the company by leaving unwanted plastics when the company can only recycle plastic bottles.
Out of goodwill, Wastesavers say they have collected other types of plastics left for them but are no longer able to do this.
Residents were surprised and annoyed this week when much of their plastic was not collected.
