A MOTORCYCLIST is in a critical condition after a collision on Caerphilly Road, Bassaleg, last night.
The rider, who police say is from the area, suffered serious injuries after the collision at around 10.30pm.
Caerphilly Road was closed in both directions for around two hours while emergency services attended.
No other vehicles were involved.
