TWO people were in custody last night after police arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery Crumlin.

A 44 year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, both from Caerphilly, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery following an incident at at GLJ Recycling, Pen-y-Fan Industrial Estate, on Monday morning.

As reported in yesterday's Argus, two people wearing black balaclavas demanded money from employees in a raid at around 8.45am.

They made off with what police described as "a substantial amount of cash."

The car believed to have been used in the robbery has also been recovered. The pair remained in police custody as the Argus went to press last night.
