WITHIN hours of telling Argus readers about rugby legend Bobby Windsor’s search for love, three people got in touch.
We reported yesterday how the 66-year-old is looking for someone to share his life with on the island of Mallorca.
One woman e-mailed about her friend, a widow from Blaenavon, who she said would love companionship.
Another Newport woman phoned, suggesting her nan would be a good match. She said: “My nan is 70 and doesn’t go anywhere to meet anyone. She would love companionship, but if it doesn’t work, friendship would be nice.”
A widow, 64, from Cwmcarn also emailed in saying she would like to talk to Bobby.
The former Pontypool and Wales hooker said: “I go walking every day, the weather is great. Life isn’t bad, except I haven’t got anyone to share it with.”
Mr Windsor called the response “marvellous”.
