SCENE: Officers outside the former Pill Heritage Centre today

POLICE confirmed this afternoon that the bones found were not human.
1.28pm POLICE are examining bones found beneath a building in Pill in Newport to establish if they are human or not.
Builders made the discovery beneath floorboards in the former chapel which once housed the Pill Heritage Centre on Alexandra Road.
Officers were alerted by a call at 11.10am and have since secured the area.
