GETHIN Jones, Natasha Giggs and Frankie Cocozza are just some of the names confirmed for a fundraising dinner in aid of a Newport charity.
Former Wales rugby captain Gareth ‘Alfie’ Thomas is patron of Newport-based Life Music Foundation and has invited a host of celebrities for a fundraising dinner at Newport’s Celtic Manor Resort on July 14.
The Gareth Thomas Foundation for Music and Sport, which incorporates Life Music Foundation and Life Sport Foundation, aims to raise funds to help disadvantaged youngsters in South Wales have access to music and sport.
More than 2,000 youngsters have already benefited from the charity.
Tickets are now on sale for the black tie event, which will allowmore than 900 people to mingle with a number of the rugby star’s celebrity friends.
Guests already confirmed include some of his Celebrity Big Brother housemates such as Nicola McLean and Kirk Norcross, with more set to be announced over the coming weeks.
The event will also have an auction and a performance by a well-known band yet to be revealed.
Mr Thomas said: “I really believe we can make a difference and am keeping my fingers crossed that everyone will come along to the dinner and help make a brighter future for the next generation.”
The charity was set up by him and Newport businessmen Daniel O’Connell and Clayton Richards.
Tickets cost £100 each and VIP packages are also available.
