A BLACKWOOD church will be holding its Sunday morning services at a rugby club during renovation work to their usual place of worship.
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Blackwood will be holding its Sunday morning services at Blackwood Rugby Club from May 13.
Rev Mark Thomas said: “Church fans and rugby fans are very welcome to come.
“We are very grateful to the club for allowing us the use of their facilities whilst redevelopment work on our building in Cefn Road progresses.”
Redevelopment of the main building on Cefn Road is progressing but they do not yet know when it will be completed.
The church had been holding services at Blackwood Comprehensive School, and were very grateful to the staff and governors for allowing the use of their main hall.
However, with the school exam season set to start, the church has decided to move services to the rugby club.
