A GWENT subpostmistress is celebrating 30 years of faithful service to the community.
Lynne Greenhaf, who is based at Machen Post Office, started her career behind the counter in 1982 after a previous job in finance.
The 56-year-old has devoted her time to providing good quality and friendly service from the Commercial Road branch ever since.
On Friday, she was presented with a special 'Long Service Award' by Post Office regional manager Lisa Barton, describing it as "lovely."
She said: "I am very lucky as many of my customers have become friends over the years and this makes the award extra special for me. It’s been quite a surprise, but a lovely one to receive it."
Over the years Ms Greenhaf has combined her role with a passion for learning.
She has gained a BSC in Economics, a masters degree in Professional Development and is currently studying towards a qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring. She has also held the position of vice president of the Gwent branch of the National Federation of Subpostmasters. Post Office regional manager Lisa Barton said: “I would like to congratulate Lynne on her 30-years of loyal and dedicated service to our customers in the Machen area”.
