THE ORGANISERS of Chepstow Carnival are inviting locals to get involved with this year’s event.
Run by Chepstow Round Table, the town council and the Severn Bridge Social Club, it will light up the town on July 7 with an array of colourful floats and entertainment.
The carnival parade will leave the social club at noon on the day, ending at the riverside where music and refreshments will be situated.
The organisers are seeking a marching band to lead the parade for the first time, as well as a carnival queen.
Stallholders, those wishing to have a float and sponsors are also sought.
Secretary of Chepstow Round Table Robin Harvey said the carnival and a fireworks event in November at Chepstow School are the group’s two biggest events.
