A MAN was rescued from the River Usk this morning.
South Wales Fire and Rescue officers used throw lines and an inflatable boat to rescue the man after being called at 5.38am to help with the operation.
The man was in the water near The Wave on the Kingsway and was successfully rescued.
He was then taken to the city's Royal Gwent Hospital by ambulance.
