PEOPLE in Gwent have just three days to have their say about how they can contact police as the fore prepares to close 17 police station front desks.

Chief Constable Carmel Napier will be at two of the last four events when she goes to Tesco, Pontymister, today, giving people the chance to ask about how they want to be able to report issues to police when the front doors close on stations.

Mrs Napier will be at the supermarket between 9.30am and 10.30am, although the roadshow runs from 9am until 4pm.

Tomorrow, the roadshow moves to Morrison's in Caerphilly between midday and 7pm, with an appearance from Mrs Napier between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

It is in Trethomas on Friday, atTesco Extra between 10am and 5pm.

At each of the events, people can talk to officers and fill in a questionnaire.

The closure of all but five front desks will be complete by September and is aimed at saving £500,000 from the budget by 2015.
