A NEWPORT family is delighted to welcome its fifth generation for the second time.
Baby Zachary was born to mum Michelle, 24, and Thomas Smith, 22, on April 23.
The youngster’s greatgreat- grandmother, Arlette Richards, 92, great-grandmother, Yvonne Wyatt, 67, and grandmother, Debra Aherne, 46, met Mr Smith and his newborn to celebrate the new arrival.
The family also marked the same achievement in the Argus 24 years ago – when little Zachary’s aunt, Jade Danielle Smith, was the fifth generation of girls in the family.
Ms Wyatt said liittle Zachary is the perfect baby for his Newport-based family and spends much of his time sleeping.
“Everybody is delighted by his arrival,” she added.
