A TEAM of volunteers have given the green-fingered touch to a community garden in Newport.
In total, 15 employees from the Office for National Statistics, which is based in the city, spent a day raising beds and clearing weeds at the Mary Dunn Community Centre as part of Give and Gain Day.
The event was organised by Business in the Community Wales to help employers and their staff put something back into their local neighbourhood.
The volunteers also rolled up their sleeves to build a path, paint chairs and tables and clear weeds.
Mary Dunn community centre is used by a wide range of people including children, disabled adults and for therapy classes to overcome illnesses including strokes.
