A RISCA teenager appeared in court yesterday charged with the robbery of a Pentwynmawr takeaway and possession of a firearm.

Jacob Lee Loisz, 19, of Quantock Close, appeared at Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court charged with robbing Mohammed Udin of £300 on April 22 at the Taste of India, High Street, and possessing a firearm during the alleged incident namely an item which closely resembled a shotgun. Loisz spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

The Argus reported last month how Kyran Peplar, 21, of Bryn House, Crumlin, and Daniel Burston, 23, of Llanarth Road, Pontllanfraith, also appeared in magistrates’ court charged with the robbery.

Peplar is also charged with possession of an imitation firearm.
