THE deputy presiding officer David Melding AM laid a wreath earlier this week at Fitzroy, which overlooks a cove where 32 Welsh Guards died during the Falklands War, in the Falklands Islands yesterday as part of his visit to the islands.
The Welsh Guards lost their lives at Bluff Cove on June 8, 1982.
Mr Melding will be taking part in the commemorations of the 30th anniversary of the liberation of Port Stanley from Argentine occupation today.
