PEOPLE across Gwent now have four weeks to view the arguments for and against proposed changes to MPs’ constituencies.

The Boundary Commission for Wales has published all responses it has received during its initial consultation on proposed changes to parliamentary constituencies in Wales.

The commission has proposed reducing the number of Gwent constituencies from six to five – with the Islwyn area being split up.

People have until July 10 to view the arguments about the proposed changes – either at several public locations or online – and make further comments.

Hard copies of written responses and those given at public hearings can be found at the Municipal Offices, Ebbw Vale; Pontllanfraith House, Pontllanfraith; the One Stop Shop, Abergavenny; the One Stop Shop, Monmouth; the One Stop Shop, Caldicot; Maindee Library, Newport; the Civic Centre, Newport and the Civic Centre, Pontypool.
