FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at Llanwern Bowling Club in Ringland last night.
Crews from Maindee, Malpas, Duffryn and Cwmbran were alerted to the fire at the single storey building on Ringland Way at 8.19pm.
Network Rail was informed as a precaution because smoke was in the area of the nearby railway track.
The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
