Gwent boundary shake-up deadline

PEOPLE in Gwent have until July 10 to view the arguments made about the proposed changes to constituency boundaries in Wales.

The Boundary Commission has now entered its second consultation period, and will consider whether to make changes to the proposals, based on the responses it receives.

Responses can be viewed online at www.bcomm-wales.

gov.uk and people can also comment on the views expressed.

Locations where hard copies are available include the Municipal Offices Ebbw Vale, Pontllanfraith House, the One Stop Shops in Abergavenny, Monmouth, and Caldicot, Maindee Library, Newport Civic Centre, Pontypool Civic Centre and Penallta House, Ystrad Mynach.

The proposed boundary changes mark the biggest review of constituency boundaries in Wales since the creation of the Boundary Commission in 1944.

The proposals for Newport make no sense at all. To combine newport west with Sirhowy Valley is nonsense.

I bet those living in the Sirhowy Valley aren't very pleased at that!

It's just Cameron Gerrymandering. Notice in the 'Gwent' area, Labour looses a seat, but Tory Loudmouth Davies keeps his.

Coinsidence - I doubt it !!!
