A PIECE of glass fell from a canopy in Cwmbran Shopping Centre yesterday.
Centre manager Gerry Hutchings said the glass, meassuring about 600mm square, fell in General Rees Square, near Primark, at around 1.30pm.
The ambulance service said it was called at 2pm and three people – two adults and one child – were taken to hospital with cuts and bruises.
The area was cordoned off with barriers underneath the glazed canopy.
Mr Hutchings said specialist contractors had been asked to carry out a detailed investigation.
