MORE than 25 bands, including one from Austria, will perform at a festival in Tintern this month.
Folk on The Lawn will showcase the talents of artists, poets and musicians at Abbey Mill, from July 13-15.
Welsh performers who have made the line-up include harpist Gwen Mairi, who has accompanied Katherine Jenkins in the past, Sue Verran and Tinpots and Tim Deere-Jones.
Those flying the flag for Gwent will be Rob Lear with his band, poet Julian Meek and an open mic facilitated by Newport Folk Club.
Musicians coming from further afield include Blushing Melons, from Austria and Dublin-based Wicker Bones.
This year for the first time, the event will begin on a Friday featuring an indoor concert with comedian Gaudy Orde.
Entry to the festival is free, but the organisers are still hoping for support from local businesses where possible.
