A ROAD closure that Newport residents have said has caused traffic chaos in the city is expected to end on Friday, according to Traffic Wales website.
The site says that the closure of the westbound link road between junction 25 and Grove Park Roundabout is anticipated to end by 6am that day.
The Welsh Government previously said that the road had to be closed due to damage to a bridge joint, that would could cause a hazard to motorists, especially bikers.
Residents and traders complained that traffic was backing up along Caerleon Road as a result of the closure.
