APPLETREE Day Nursery, near Magor, was rated good by assessors Estyn.
An inspection, which took place last month, found children were happy and relaxed in their setting, they all take part in a range of interesting and stimulating activities planned for them, and relationships between children and adults is warm and caring.
Assessors said the nursery, which cares for children from birth to five years, could improve by developing the use of the Welsh language in sessions and by coming up with a way to evaluate the impact of staff training on the children’s progress.
A ‘good’ rating is the second best score a school or nursery can achieve – the highest being ‘excellent’.
