A GWENT dancer has won a place at one of the UK’s leading performing arts schools.
Harriet Husband, 18, of Llanhennock, Usk, will begin a three-year BA degree course at Laine Theatre Arts in Essex this autumn.
The Caerleon Comprehensive student has enjoyed formal training on National Dance Company Wales’ Associates scheme, a training programme for talented young dancers in Wales. She said: “I’m so thrilled at receiving my place as it means I can go forward and achieve the training that I need to be the dancer I want to be.”
This summer Harriet will perform alongside other NDCWales Associates in ‘summerdance’ at Cardiff’s St David’s Hall on August 11.
